Yukon Wildlife Reserve
Located just 25 minutes from downtown Whitehorse, the reserve staff passionately cares for injured wild animals before returning them safely to their natural habitat. Visitors, in fact, can go to the reserve to learn about more than a dozen different species of boreal and arctic animals.
Dog Sleds in Yukon
The way you travel through Yukon can be as entertaining as what you do along the way. If you want to live the best experience in the north, there is nothing like dog sledding. When you think of sled dogs, the first words that probably come to your mind can be “cute” and “friendly”.
Aurora borealis
The highlight of many trips to Yukon is the possibility of spending the nights looking for a true wonder of nature: the undescriptble northern lights. The first observation of a beautiful strip of dancing colors you may have on the flight that brings you to this territory or from the window of your hotel room. But there are many different ways to turn auroral observation into a more complete and exciting experience.
Takhini hot springs
The Takhini Hot Springs are a series of hot pools of natural mineral water only 18 miles from downtown Whitehorse. The original nations used these pools for centuries, and became a commercial site in 1907. The water has a pleasant temperature of 41 degrees Celsius, which means you can enjoy them at any time of the year, regardless of the outside temperature.
