UZBEKISTAN

Traveling to Uzbekistan will open a world of legends and stories
of “The Thousand and One Nights”

WHAT TO DO IN UZBEKISTAN?

Uzbekistán

Uzbekistan, an authentic crossroads in the heart of Asia, was crossed by the largest empires: from that of Alexander the Great to that of Genghis Khan and Tamerlane.
Uzbekistan is home to impressive cities. Some of the known pearls of the East were once part of the Silk Road. Tashkent, its cosmopolitan capital, retains traces of the Soviet era. Samarkand, Bukhara, Jiva or Termez impress the visitor through its Muslim architecture.

Karakalpakstán

The Ayaz-Kala fortress is located in the Ellikkala district of Karakalpakstan, twenty kilometers northeast of the former capital of Khorezm – the Toprak-Kala citania, west of the Kirk-Kiz-kala fortress, between the sands of the Kyzyl Kum desert and stirrups of the Sultan Uwais mountains.

Taskent

Kukeldash, sixteenth century: one of the largest in Asia, full of legends: that housed a sacred tree, which was the site of executions … In 1991, with the independence of the country, was reformed following the reference of photographs of the 80s of the nineteenth century. The Khazrati-Imam complex also has a madrasa, that of Barak-khan (16th century), plus two mausoleums and the Tilla Sheikh mosque.

Samarcanda

A name that transports us to a magical world of fascinating stories of the mysterious East. This city was for centuries one of the fundamental stops of the Silk Road between Asia and Europe. Today the blue city continues to maintain its halo of legend intact and is one of the great travel destinations in this part of the world.

Jiva

Fascinating gold embroidery, full-color ceramics and hand-made carpets. In the ancient city of Bukhara, merchants still sell their products under the mythical domes of the Silk Road.

Door of the hell of Darvaza, Turkmenistan

The Karakum desert covers 70% of the territory of Turkmenistan, with a total area of more than 350,000 square kilometers. It is one of the most extensive deserts in the world and one of the most uninhabited territories on the planet. In the middle of the desert is Darvaza,

This big hole in the middle of the Turkmenistan desert has been burning for more than 40 years. The place is located above a natural gas cave, so the fire will be extinguished when the stored fuel reserves are finished.
